This is the day of national Jewish mourning. Through prayer, fasting and the recitation of the Book of Lamentations we recall the destruction of the two temples of Jerusalem and the subsequent tragedies of Jewish history. We affirm our loyalty to our faith and people. In our time of Jewish rebirth we offer thanks as well.
