Thank you for visiting Sutton Place Synagogue’s website.
Our congregants tend to use many of the same words to describe their Sutton Place Synagogue experience. Words such as “warm” and “welcoming.” “Intelligent” and “inspirational.” ‘Friendly” and “familiar.” Yet, the word they use most frequently reflects all of these traits: Community.
Above all, the members of Sutton Place Synagogue pride ourselves on the thriving religious, cultural, educational and social community we’ve built in the heart of midtown Manhattan.
Guided by a passionate and nurturing clergy as well as active and attentive lay leaders, Sutton Place Synagogue offers both a comfortable and provocative environment for Conservative, Egalitarian worship. Our congregants range from the young families that populate our innovative Religious and Nursery schools, to members with synagogue roots dating back to our inception more than 100 years ago. The common bond we all share is a commitment to Jewish community that transcends the walls of our synagogue to enhance all of our lives, every day. |
